Manchester United have reportedly sealed a deal to signSouthampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin.
The fee for the France midfielder is said to be in the region of £25million.
French newspaper L’Equipe claim that the 25-year-old, who had been on the radar of numerous other Premier League clubs, has agreed personal terms with the Old Trafford team in a four-year deal.
It is no secret that the Frenchman has been keen to play Champions League football.
He has been with Southampton since 2008, but said in a recent interview with French radio station RMC:
“Yes, I think my decision is made. I learned a lot last season. The goal is to stay in England.
"It is a championship that I like and where I have a lot of fun. If I leave Southampton, it is for a club that plays better than the Europa League.
“There are ongoing discussions but nothing is done. But of course the Champions League is my goal. If I leave Southampton it will be for a club in the Champions League.”
